The older fans, and no relief, the market is left is for people older than 40 and slash and buying for the sheer effort of collecting. And so we may be a while but not forever.
For quite some time, when a new guy asks me "I can buy to start?" not to answer, because what's in store there is nothing we can recommend. At the end you want to spend on something eventually buy cards, or sleeves, or return to the game, the role is the least of his appeal all that is offered.
Do people new plays? Some, I suppose, but if you go to a store to find they have nothing material they like: Books that are hanging on the shelf instead of being used, at prices that they take away the desire to either, but the young guys they do not have pasta. For the boys a hardcover book filled with illustrations and text in English it seems like an illustrated encyclopedia, that is not to play is to admire, and young people has not instilled the desire of collecting, wants things to be consume, not save. Normal
not buy, do not play normal. Books today are designed to give you that buy at least 3 or 4 just for starters, that money can buy an X-Box.
future? Isolated kedadas conventions of role players, each a tip of the country, every time less people, organized by Internet, to gather a few older coaches still play (as do people today that is dedicated to wargames). Items stable isolated solely for leisure clubs for some fierce that can convince a couple of friends. Campaigns? Only in your small imagination.
The only hope is the parents who try to instill in their children love, and that they will accept it (many of these children will football fans, or canis), but no industry and no way to know other role-playing families, remain a relative rarity to that spends time once a year, like playing Monopoly or Parcheesi.
Does the network? It is an illusion, because everything is virtual, zeros and ones to which you can cut off access at any time. Pages expire, the authors are bored (or leave or die), sooner or later, sooner or later, all these posts will disappear. Does anyone remember a forum of many that took place during the end of the century? Does anyone remember any role irc channel? What happened to all the material (legal, copyright) that had on Geocities? Keep believing that the network is the future role, I still do not take account of a book unless you know how much it hurts my hands.
The role dies, and can not do anything about it. Five years, ten years, twenty ... You see love in 20 years? Some will be mad, but then I'll have 56 (if still alive) and I think the dice will hang much sooner if not find a way to earn a living with it, which I doubt as is the patio.
