Some common expressions have a meaning that does not always respond to the literal translation. I am posting sufficient examples to enable compender these phrases when you read or hear.
A people - people, I (the speaker) or "we" in informal speech.

De Arrepio or cabelo - dreadful, terrible
De graça - Dar
free colo - emotional support, listen and give comfort and support

Leave at hand - the promise y cumpli
Login well - empezar bad, bad result tener
In one ear and out the other - when not in lends itself to something tenció
